FOUR different AI + writing related events I did this Fall, or AI done 4 different ways… or Four Ways of Saying AI >>
I was fortunate to give three talks on the matter, beginning with a hallucinated talk on AI cannibalistic dreams for/with my peeps at Salamanca at the symposium “Escritor y máquina: reconfiguraciones del espacio literario y la IA,” part of our research project “Postautorías en el siglo XII. Análisis y estudio del impacto de la IA generativa en el scriptorium y la industria literaria en lengua española,” under the direction of Daniel Escandell, and generously funded by Fundación Memoria de D. Samuel Solórzano Barruso.
I was then invited to deliver a keynote address at the University of Granada’s Proyecto Letral-IA “Tecnologías del escritor: producción, circulación y recepción literaria en la Era de la Inteligencia Artificial,” on October 9, 2026. Thank you Jonatán Martín Gómez and Samir Sánchez for the kind invitation! My talk, “Escritura, texto o prompt. ¿Qué escribimos cuando escribimos con inteligencia artificial?” is accessible here>>>
And a few days later, I was also invited to deliver a keynote back in Salamanca for at the VII Congreso Internacional de Estudios Exocanónicos, on October 23, 2026, where I read a translation I am working on from my book Earthy Algorithms: “Algoritmos telúricos: teoría y práctica.” Millones de gracias to Sheila Pastor and Vicente Luis Mora for the amazing experience <3
Before all this, however, together with my longterm collaborator Mario Santamaría, we performed “A Tour of AI” around Silicon Valley; a guided walking artwork through the physical landscapes of artificial intelligence through Santa Clara’s industrial and technological corridors, turning, as always, our attention toward places that are rarely meant to be looked at: data centers, corporate campuses, electrical infrastructure, anonymous buildings, parking lots, roads, and the surrounding landscape. You can learn more about this HERE. “A Tour of AI” was also featured in the exhibition Hidden Layers: AI Infrastructures and Hallucinations, curated by by Antonio Somaini with Hannes Bajohr, Sonja Thiel and Elena Yu, and done in partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Art San Jose.
I have a few more events planned around AI before the end of the year and I will keep you posted, despite how much I hate updating this silly site. And yet. Thank you for reading.
